The GPS is an instrument that receives signals to compute the user's latitude and longitude as well as speed, direction, and elevation. Scientists use GPS to track wildlife, study earthquakes, measure erosion, and many other purposes.
Satellites use remote sensing to produce views of Earth that scientist use to study rivers, oceans, fires, pollution, natural resources, and many other topics. They are placed into orbit by human endeavour.
Commissioned in August 2008, the Okeanos Explorer is outfitted with a deep-water mapping system, remotely-operated vehicles (ROVs), and unique “telepresence” technology. This newest member of the NOAA fleet will explore our largely unknown ocean for the purpose of discovery and advancing knowledge.
Over the years, space shuttles have helped us find out loads of information about space and our solar system. They are very convenient because they allow scientists to get an up close view of space features to research them. Without space shuttles, we wouldn't know half of the information we know about outer space, plus nobody would have ever been able to travel to the moon!
Deep sea submarines help use learn more about our oceans. These submarines let us go father down than we used to be able to letting us discover new creatures and plants.
Web cell phones are one of the most used technology. Web cell phones are used in most every day situations. You can use web cell phones to get on the internet and use many helpful applications.
Sonar built into planes. Using a plane, we can now map land by sending sound signals down to the surface and recording the echoes received. This allows for quicker and safer mapping of land, without the need to physically record land observations.
Using this telescope, scientists have ruled out an alternate theory on the nature of dark energy after recalculating the expansion rate of the universe. There is a team that works to prefect this telescope so that it is more accurate when looking at the nature of this dark energy.
For Example, special buoys, satellite images, and diving suits, they assist in the study of the world’s oceans. They have discovered that the oceans contain several layers of cold and warm water. As these layers circulate, they form cold and warm ocean currents. The currents interact with wind patterns in the atmosphere and affect Earth’s weather.
The internet explorer is one of the biggest tecnologies being used today. With the internet, you can find out anything you want to know. Whether you want to research dinosaurs or study the Earth's layers.
Although the invention is somewhat old, the telescope has been given so many technologies that allow it to help scientists greatly. Things such as adjustments to how focused the microscope is and the adjustment of how close up you want the object to be allow scientists to view things that most previous scientist couldn't view. Microscopes that can be attached to a screen are good for a group investigation on rocks, micro-organisms, and other samples that are examined to find the scientific explanation of.
Robots are starting to be made in China and I dissagree with this new project because maybe now all they can do is roll around and talk but later after serious upgrades they are going to take over the world and make us into there slaves.
Television is a good way to learn about Earth/Environmental science. There are many educational programs out there that will teach you a lot. I find it interesting to learn scientific facts sitting right at home. This educational advancement is amazing and it is so sad that everyone can't experience this.
